Westside Community Schools voters have approved a levy override of up to 15 cents, according to unofficial results from the county.
The Douglas County Election Commission reported the results of the mail-in vote on Tuesday night. The final unofficial tally gave way to a financial boost to the school district, with 51.3 percent voting in favor of the override, and 48.7 percent voting no. A total of 7,510 ballots were cast, according to at statement from the commission.
Official results of the vote are expected to be posted Sept. 20 on the Election Commission website as well as official social media channels.
