OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — After the snow and freezing drizzle Sunday morning, there is a potential for slick roadways into Sunday night.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Monday through Monday night for a majority of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. According to the National Weather Service, freezing drizzle currently appears to be the primary precipitation type for most of the day Monday before switching to snow by the late afternoon or early evening.

The National Weather Service says snowfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible, along with a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation. Slow down and use caution while driving as travel impacts are likely.

Another storm system moving into the area Thursday is expected to bring another chance for accumulating snow.
