A vehicle rolled over a woman and child Sunday afternoon near the intersection of 61st Street and Ames Avenue in Omaha, according to a witness.
The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m.
The witness says the child was in the car when it was put into reverse and started backing up onto a busy street. The woman rushed out of a laundromat and tried to grab the child.
At the time, the witness says the woman may have tripped with the child in hand and the car rolled over both of them.
The witness says the child had a head injury and the woman was unresponsive. Both were seen being taken by ambulance to the hospital.
