Woman, 74, killed in head-on crash in western Iowa

A head-on crash in western Iowa claimed the life of a 74-year-old woman. 

About 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Lifenet flew to the town of Modale, Iowa, just north of DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge in Harrison County.

The Iowa State Patrol confirmed Marie Bryan from Mondamin, Iowa , tried to pass two semi-trucks on Austin Avenue. Her Nissan Rogue hit a Chevy Trailblazer head-on.

Bryan died at the scene. Paramedics took Deborah and Scott Davey of Modale to the hospital by medical helicopter.
