A Council Bluffs woman received probation for a deadly hit and run accident last September.
A Pottawatamie County judge sentenced 29 year old Stephanie Kenealy to two years probation for her guilty plea to leaving the scene of a fatality accident. The judge also granted a deferred judgement, meaning the conviction can be removed from Kenealy's record if she completes the terms of her probation.
Kenealy struck and killed 54 year old David Ryder who was riding his bike in the rain on 35th Street in Council Bluffs on September 8, 2015. Ryder died at the scene and Kenealy drove off, but returned about 45 minutes later.
