A young woman was seriously injured while tubing down the Elkhorn River Sunday afternoon.
Waterloo and Valley River Rescue responded to the scene for an injured 20-year-old female.
Crews say the young woman fell back into her tube, compressing her spine.
She was transported to the trauma center at Nebraska Medicine.
Crews say thanks to bystanders, the woman wasn't more seriously injured.
