Young girl says man tried to abduct her in Bellevue

Bellevue Police were called to investigate a reported attempted abduction Thursday morning.

According to the Bellevue Police Department, a 12-year-old girl says an unknown males was knocking on the front door of her house, near 19th and Freeman Drive around 7:45 a.m..
    
The girl did not open the door and noticed a black SUV parked nearby, and she watched as the vehicle drove away.

As the child began to walk to school, the suspect drove up behind her and told her to get into his SUV.

The girl refused and the suspect left the area.

The vehicle is described as a black suburban type SUV with dark tinted windows, silver hubcaps, and no rear license plate.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30's and tall with broad shoulders. He was seen wearing a worn out Carhart style jacket, worm blue jeans and brown work boots.
