A Yutan man convicted of killing his wife and staging a car accident as a cover-up is before the Nebraska Parole Board Thursday morning.
Mark Schnable was convicted of second degree murder for the death of his wife Sandy on their farm in May of 1999. The couple's three children watched what happened. While the judge wanted life in prison without parole, she did not put down a minimum sentence. That meant Schnable is now eligible for parole. Many in the small Saunders County town do not want to see Schnable walk free.
