Forty-nine people in Orlando. Alton Sterling. Philando Castile. Five police officers in Dallas. Some died because of who they loved. Some died because they swore to protect others. Some died because of the color of their skin. There have been others. There will be others until we can realize that what differentiates us from each other is far less than what we have in common.
