COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) - The Pottawattamie County Health Department has confirmed a presumptive positive case of the coronavirus.

Officials said that the patient is a woman who is between 41-60 years old and lives in the county. She had recently traveled to California but it's unclear when she arrived back in the area. Officials said she has underlying health risks.

Officials say the woman worked at Panera Bread in Council Bluffs and the restaurant has started the cleaning process. The location, at the Metro Crossing Shopping Center, was closed Monday.

Officials couldn't say when she worked. Many people have asked about her work schedule, but officials don’t have that information to release yet.

Officials say they received information on Saturday about a possible coronavirus patient. The woman had symptoms and was tested at UNMC. She’s been self-quarantined since Saturday. County officials were notified on Monday that the woman was a presumptive positive case.

They’re looking into the specific locations where she’s been.

The county has set up a website about the coronavirus. They're urging residents to wash their hands, cover their coughs and practice social distancing.
