Couple uses stolen credit card to film skydiving expedition

Posted

The Suffolk County, New York Police Department is looking for a pair of suspected identify thieves after the duo are accused of using a stolen credit card to book a sky diving expedition back in June.

The suspected thieves opted to have their skydiving expedition filmed, and the video has since been used by the Suffolk County Police to ask for the public's help to identify the suspects.

Suffolk Police Chief Stuart Cameron told NBC New York that filming the stolen joy dive was "brazen."

"Normally if you're using a stolen card, you don't want to have your photos taken," Cameron told NBC New York.

According to NBC New York, the suspects tried to use a credit card taken from a stolen wallet from a Washington man.

The duo opted for a $700 skydive package, which included two jumps and video.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers said it is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
