Earthquake in Alaska registers at magnitude 6.7

An earthquake has shaken buildings in Anchorage, Alaska, but the damage is not yet known.

There is no tsunami warning, official said Friday.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered about 7 miles north of the city, which is the largest in Alaska.

A witness in Anchorage saw cracks were visible in at least one two-story building,the Associated Press reports.

The earthquake registered at a 6.7 magnitude.
