It's a day dedicated to your favorite toppings placed between two slices of bread. Sandwich shops across the country are observing the day with free and discounted food.
Here's how you can get in on a cheaper sandwich and commemorate the day.
Subway
One of the biggest sandwich chains in the America is celebrating the hardest, declaring this day "World Sandwich Day." Buy a sandwich and a 30-ounce drink, and you can get a second sandwich of equal or lesser value for free. Subway is also donating a meal to Feeding America. That way, you, a friend and someone in need all get a sandwich.
