PHOENIX, Ariz. -- A Phoenix man is accused of killing his neighbor's dog by giving it meth.

Phoenix police report that a woman saw Jeremiah Allen Olp, 42, reaching into her yard and giving something to her dogs Wednesday afternoon.

When Olp saw the woman looking at him, he ran back into his home, police say.

The woman noticed that her dogs were soon acting strangely and called the police.

When police arrived, they reportedly saw both dogs foaming at the mouth, and one dog was unable to stand. The dogs were taken to a veterinarian for treatment. Tests completed on the dogs reportedly revealed that they were given meth.

One of the dogs died as a result.

Olp was arrested for animal cruelty and killing an animal without the owner's consent.
