If you've been paying attention to political discourse in the past year — especially the rise of Donald Trump into the highest seat of American government — you've probably heard the term "alt-right."
Steve Bannon, a special advisor to Trump, has been identified with the alt-right movement, along with online publications like Breitbart.
The movement also made news this week when Twitter suspended several self-identified alt-right influencers including Richard Spender.
But what is the alt-right movement? What are their views and who represents them?
