A woman in Greater Cleveland said it's a miracle she and her young daughter are alive.
Karen Krantz was driving down 480, when she lost control of her vehicle, the accelerator stuck.
"We ended up going from 90 to 115," she said.
Krantz said she may not be sharing her story if it weren't for Fairview Park Police Lieutenant John Martin, who answered when she called 911.
"I thought we were going to die. I knew we were going to die," she said.
"Turn your engine off, but do not lock it. Do not turn it all the way off," Martin told her.
That worked. Krantz said her car slowed down and she managed to pull over. She calls it a miracle.
"Literally a miracle," she said.
Part of her miracle? The calm voice on the other end of the line, when they needed it most.
"We're alive. I'm so thankful for the officer," Krantz said.
Lieutenant John Martin said it's all in a day's work, but days like that one make it all worthwhile.
"You do feel good when you help someone through a situation," Martin said.
It's situation the Krantz family will never forget.
"I have three other kids. It's given me, a sense of, how precious they are. How precious this life is. And to not sweat the small stuff," Karen Krantz said.
