Twisters in Lincoln touched off the severe weather more than five hours ago. Monday night's issue: flooding.
That's led to water rescues galore as people tried to make their way home.
The hail was also a major side effect from the storms.
Megan Paternoster shoveled away thousands of small hail stones on her back porch.
"It's been kind of crazy," said Paternoster, her house damaged in the storm, "I'm sure all my screens are going to have to be replaced, probably going to have to replace some carpeting."
Just blocks away at Westlake Village Rehabilitation Care Center, administrator Amiee Middleton says their building was also damaged by the wind and hail, "Nothing interior except for our exterior windows that have caused some room damage but minimal for what could have happened."
The hail was so heavy and so powerful it broke the back windows of many cars.
The rain covered main roads in Lincoln. Some people needing help after their cars became trapped in the high water.
But luckily in this south Lincoln neighborhood, everyone survived the storm fierce storm.
"The good thing is everybody is safe so we are counting our blessings," said Middleton.
"We were just staying safe, just trying to keep the kids calm," said Paternoster.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to three different water rescues. No major injured reported.
