The 8th annual College Home Run Derby is set for Saturday, July 1st at TD Ameritrade Park. The event will begin at 7:35 p.m. with the first pitch scheduled for 8 p.m.
The home run derby will showcase a number of college baseball players who are ranked among the nation's home run leaders during the 2017 season.
“We are proud to once again bring the College Home Run Derby back to Omaha where it has become a long-standing tradition,” Vice President of Sports Properties for Intersport, Drew Russell said. “The new format that we adopted in 2016 created a more fast-paced competition that resulted in a record number of home runs hit. Thanks to our continued relationship with the Omaha World-Herald we can promise them a memorable night of baseball and fireworks at the ballpark,” Russell said.
