TCU has held a strong College World Series presence in the few years with this year being its fourth straight appearance and fifth overall. 

Horned Frogs' road to Omaha

TCU finished the season with a 42-16 record, ranking third in the Big 12 standings. The Horned Frogs swept the NCAA Fort Worth Regional beating Central Connecticut, Virginia and Dallas Baptist. TCU continued their streak sweeping the Super Regional to advance to Omaha. This marks the first super regional sweep in program history. The Horned Frogs hold an 11-8 all-time in NCAA Super Regional games.  

Key players

Junior catcher Evan Skoug has made his name known during the NCAA Tournament blasting a home run in four of the five games. Skoug was drafted by the White Sox in the seventh round of the 2017 MLB Draft. 

Senior pitcher Brian Howard recorded three double-digit strikeout games of the season along with 101 strikeouts this season. Howard was drafted in the eighth round of the 2017 MLB Draft.

TCU's Austen Wade was recently drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the fifth round of the 2017 MLB Draft.
