In just a few days thousands will pack downtown Omaha for the College World Series. Traveling around TD Ameritrade Park can get tricky with that many people but there are a few ways to get around that are stress free.
Pedicab services will be around this tournament, Brent Poffenbarger has been offering the bike taxi service for the last three years.
“This is my favorite because I am a baseball nerd,” he said the College World Series is one of his bussiest events he will cover and will give dozens of rides every day.
The pedicabs are usually stationed right outside the ballpark, there are taxi pickup locations around the park, and the Uber and Lyft locations are right outside the CenturyLynk Center.
Poffenbarger said they will offer rides all the way downtown to the Old Market, “If you want a ride just yell at us.”
He also said the idea of the bike taxi is still growing in Nebraska.
“Still in the Midwest it is not as common, so a lot of people have never seen it until they walk by us,” he said.
For parking around the ballpark, there are several parking lots around the area that are open along with the new Capitol Districts garage. However, lots D and B are passes only and officials will be on the lookout for parking violations.
The College World Series kicks off with the opening ceremony Friday night and games on Saturday.
