IOWA CITY (KMTV) — Some Iowa coaches will either voluntarily take a 15% pay cut or make a contribution back to the Hawkeyes athletic department for the next fiscal year to help mitigate the financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a statement released by the university on Tuesday.

Those coaches include head football coach Kirk Ferentz, men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery, women's basketball coach Lisa Bluder and wrestling coach Tom Brand.

Iowa athletic director Gary Barta will also have his total compensation package reduced by "more than 30 percent" according to the release.
