Creighton takes down UC Davis after falling 1-12 to start the series. The Bluejays evened the series Monday with a 2-1 win over the Aggies.
Creighton claimed the series with a 4-3 win over UC Davis Tuesday, March 28th.
After a scoreless first inning UC Davis answered with three runs in the second inning. Aggies' Ryan Hooper hit a single to score a run. Shortly after in the top of the third UC Davis's Cameron Olson hit a two-run homer to the right field giving the Aggies a 3-0 lead.
A single by Bluejays' Isaac Collins brought home Jason Allbery to put Creighton on the scoreboard. Following two scoreless innings Creighton's Michael Emodi gives the Bluejays a run with a RBI double to the left field. Emodi cut the Aggies lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Creighton kept the momentum going for the remainder of the game. It was tied up 3-3 in the eighth inning when Thomas Luevano hit a home run to left field to give the Bluejays a 4-3 lead.
UC Davis failed to score in the top of the ninth giving Creighton a 4-3 win to claim the series.
Creighton (7-12) hosts Air Force (10-13) Wednesday, March 29th. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at TD Ameritrade Park.
