It's baseball season at TD Ameritrade Park yet again. The Creighton baseball team will open its 2017 home schedule at TD Ameritrade this weekend starting Friday with its first home series against Utah State.
The series opens Friday at 6:30 p.m., continues Saturday with a double-header beginning at 1 p.m., and finishes out Sunday at 1 p.m. The Bluejays were supposed to open their home schedule last weekend against Cal St. Bakersfield, but the series was canceled due to weather concerns.
Utah Valley dropped its four-game series with Washington State last weekend and comes into the series with a 3-12 overall record. Creighton comes into the series with a 1-10 record with its only win coming against Santa Clara.
The Wolverines come in batting .240 as a team, and leadoff man Trevor Peterson who's batting .351 on the season.
