UC Davis snaps Creighton's winning streak

Posted

Sunday was a rough afternoon for the Creighton baseball team as it suffered a 12-1 loss at TD Ameritrade Park to UC Davis in game one of the three game series. The Bluejays drop to 5-12 on the season following the loss.

Creighton was never really in the game after giving up three runs in the first. Jays starting pitcher Rollie Lacy will pick up the loss as he moves to 1-2 on the season. Lacy gave up 10 hits with seven runs scored in two innings pitched.

The Creighton offense could not get anything going as it came away with just four hits on the afternoon. Designated hitter Parker Upton came away with the lone RBI for the Jays, scoring Will Robertson on an RBI single.

The Jays will continue the series with UC Davis tomorrow night at TD Ameritrade Park. First pitch is set for 6:30. Jeff Albrecht will likely get the start at the mound for Creighton.
