The Creighton men's basketball team looks to continue its undefeated season as it takes on Oral Roberts Saturday. The Jays lead the all-time series 6-4 over Oral Roberts.
The Bluejays are currently ranked 10th in the Associated Press poll after an impressive start to the season that includes wins over UMKC, No. 9 Wisconsin, Washington State, North Carolina State, Ole Miss, Loyola, Buffalo, Akron, Nebraska and Longwood.
Creighton (10-0) is scoring 91.6 points-per-game, ranking them fifth nationally. The Jays rank second nationally in field goal percentage at 54.4 percent and from three-point territory at 44.8 percent.
Creighton's Marcus Foster leads the team averaging 17.8 points-per-game. Foster has been named Paradise Jam MVP and BIG EAST Player of the Week this season.
Oral Roberts (2-9) is coming off of a 86-76 loss to Missouri State. Golden Eagles' Kris Martin leads four players in double-figures with 15 points per game. ORU shoots 43.1 percent from the floor and 39.1 percent from three-point range.
Oral Roberts is bringing a few familiar faces with it, including Norfolk native Jalen Bradley who is currently averaging 12.7 points-per-game along with 4.7 assist per game. A Creighton connection includes ORU guard Darian Harris who spent the 2013-14 season in Omaha as a redshirt for the Bluejays. Oral Roberts head coach Scott Sutton is the son of former Creighton Head Coach Eddie Sutton as well.
Tip-off between Creighton and Oral Roberts is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, December 17th at the CenturyLink Center.
