In a preseason poll conducted by BIG EAST coaches, Creighton basketball was picked to finish fifth in the conference. The results were announced Wednesday morning as a part of the annual BIG EAST Media Day at Madison Square Garden.

The Jays will look to match or exceed their preseason standings for the fifth-straight season.

Senior guard Marcus Foster was selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST First Team, while junior guard Khyri Thomas was given Preseason All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention honors.
