The No. 10 ranked Creighton Bluejays had a couple of players pick up Big East Weekly Men's Basketball honors this week.
Junior guard Marcus Foster was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while freshman center Justin Patton was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. It is the first weekly honor for both players as members of the Creighton basketball team.
Foster averaged 20.5 points and 3.5 rebounds-per-game in Creighton's wins over Ole Miss and Loyola Maryland last week. Foster shot 60 percent from the field, 50 percent from three point range and 83.3 percent from the free throw line.
Patton averaged 14 points and 5.5 rebounds in those games while shooting 86.7 percent from the field. Patton joined Doug McDermott as the only Creighton freshman in the last 35 years to start his career with at least six straight games with 10 or more points.
Up next, the Jays host Buffalo (4-2) Nov. 29. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on FS1.
