The 10th-ranked Creighton men's basketball team hung on by a thread against Oral Roberts Saturday night, shutting out the Golden Eagles the final six minutes of the game to pick up the 66-65 win in the Bluejays' last non-conference home game this season.
Down by five with 6:08 remaining in the game, Creighton's defense stepped up, holding Oral Roberts scoreless. Marcus Foster scored what turned out to be the game winner with 3:21 left, as neither team scored after that.
Foster led the Bluejays with 22 points, while Maurice Watson Jr. added a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists.
With the win, Creighton improves to 11-0 for the fifth time in program history, and the first time since CU started the 2003-04 season 12-0. Next up, Creighton heads out west to visit Arizona State on Tuesday night.
