Creighton will host its final home game when St. John's comes to town Tuesday. The Jays will try to bounce back after suffering back-to-back losses for the first time all season.
The Bluejays will rely on BIG EAST leading scorer Marcus Foster for most of their output offensively. Foster averages 18.8 ppg and has scored at least 12 points in all but two games this season.
Defensively, Omaha-native Kyhri Thomas has been Creighton's anchor. Thomas stepped up big time against No. 2 Villanova Saturday while guarding Josh Hart. Thomas also averages 12 ppg and is second on the team in blocks, assits and rebounds.
St. John's holds an overall record of 13-16 and 7-9 in BIG EAST play. The Red Storm will have a lot to play for as they are trying to avoid a the play-in round for seeds 7-10 in the BIG EAST Tournament.
Shamorie Ponds leads St. Johns in scoring with 17.3 ppg with Marcus Lovett folowing closely behind with 16.9 ppg.
Creighton and St. John's have split the all-time 14-game series, but the Jays hold a 5-0 advantage over the Red Storm in Omaha. Tuesday's game is set to tip at 7 p.m. and will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.
