Creighton kept it close, and even led for part of Saturday's game, but in the end Villanova was too much for the Bluejays to handle. Creighton fell 79-63 on the road to the Wildcats and Villanova becomes the regular season BIG EAST champions.

Marcus Foster had another impressive day offensively, scoring 25 and adding eight assists and five rebounds. Khyri Thomas was a big help for the Jays on defense as he locked up Villanova's Josh Hart for most of the game. Hart was held to 16 points.

Along with an impressive effort on the defensive end, Thomas added 17 points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals. Backup center Zach Hanson put in some quality minutes for the Bluejays as well, scoring 10 points and grabbing two rebounds.

Creighton falls to 22-7 on the season and 9-7 in BIG EAST play. The Jays will play their final home game against St. John's Tuesday during senior day. Creighton's final game is a road matchup against Marquette Mar. 4.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. for the Bluejay's senior day matchup against St. John's.
