No. 10 Creighton men's basketball improved to 8-0 this season with an 82-70 win over Akron Saturday night at CenturyLink Center.

The team's leading scorer, Marcus Foster, was honored before the game for scoring his 1,000th career point in the win against Buffalo on Tuesday, and Foster continued scoring in bunches tonight.  The Kansas State transfer posted a season-high 27 points.

The Jays return to the court on Wednesday night with a trip to in-state foe, Nebraska.  That game tips at 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
