The Minnesota Timberwolves announced today that former Creighton star, Justin Patton, underwent successful surgery to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his left foot.
The Omaha North grad will now not play in the the upcoming NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Patton suffered the injury during a recent workout, according to the Timberwolves press release.

The Omaha native was selected 16th overall in last month's NBA Draft, as the Wolves acquired his draft rights from Chicago as part of the blockbuster Jimmy Butler trade.
Patton played in 35 games for Creighton a season ago, averaging 12.9 points 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game on his way to being named the Big East Freshman of the Year
