Creighton (8-0) is ranked 10th in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls, marking the first time in program history that Creighton has been a top-10 team in either poll in consecutive weeks. The Bluejays are coming off of a 82-70 win over Akron Saturday, December 3rd. The team averages 90.8 points per game and shooting 54 percent as a team, including 45 percent from the 3-point range. The Bluejays have four players averaging double figures led by Marcus Foster (19.4) followed by Maurice Watson (12). Watson averages nine assists per game. Wednesday contest marks the Bluejays first road game of the 2016-17 season.
Nebraska (5-3) broke a three-game losing streak with a 73-61 win over South Dakota Saturday, December 3rd. The Huskers five starters all scored in double figures. Jack McVeigh led the team with 16 points and six rebounds, Michael Jacobson followed with 11 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Jacobson averaged 11 points on 50 percent shooting and 8.5 rebounds per game in Nebraska's two games last week.
