Omaha men's basketball team advances to the Summit League Championship game against SDSU

The Omaha men's basketball team crushed No. 7 seed IUPUI 90-62 in the Summit League semifinals.

Omaha quickly ran away with the lead taking a 42-18 lead to end the first half. Omaha's Tre'Shawn Thurman led the Mavericks with a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds after the first half. 

In the first half Omaha scored 15 points off turnovers and recorded 24 rebounds.

Despite allowing the Jaguar's 44 points after half the Mavericks kept up the pace in the second half adding 48 points to beat IUPUI 90-62. 

Omaha's Mitch Hahn and Thurman recorded double-doubles on the night. Hahn finished with 21 points and ten rebounds while Thurman added 15 points and 12 rebounds to help lead the Mavericks. 

Mavericks' Tra'Deon Hollins also played a key role in Omaha's offense tallying up 19 points in the 90-62 win over IUPUI. 

Jaguar's Darell Combs led IUPUI's offense with 22 points. 

Omaha will face South Dakota State in the Summit League Men's Basketball Championship Tuesday, March 7th at 8:00 p.m.
