Patton, Foster receive NABC All-District honors

Creighton basketball's Justin Patton and Marcus Foster have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' All-District 5 team. Foster received first-team honors, while Patton landed on the second team.

District 5 is made up of 10 BIG EAST schools, including  Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova and Xavier. The teams are voted on and selected by member coaches of the NABC.

This season, Foster averaged 18.2 ppg, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Foster is also one of 30 candidates for the Naismith Men's College Player of the Year award and one of five finalists for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year award.

Patton held down the paint for the Jays all year, averaging 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 blocked shots per game, and finished just behind Foster in total scoring with 12.9 points. Patton was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, BIG EAST All-Freshman, and Second-Team All-BIG EAST.
