CU Men's Soccer Team Earns NCAA Tourney Bid

<p>Women&#39;s soccer scored a win this week in the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.c-span.org/video/?410206-1/us-senate-debates-defense-authorization-bill&start=17257" target="_blank">U.S. Senate</a>.</p><p>Thursday the Senate unanimously passed a resolution supporting equal pay for the women&#39;s national soccer team.</p><p>&quot;The pay gap between the men and women&#39;s soccer team is emblematic of what is happening across our country,&quot;&nbsp;<a href="http://www.c-span.org/video/?410206-1/us-senate-debates-defense-authorization-bill&start=17257" target="_blank">Sen. Patty Murray</a>&nbsp;said.</p><p><a href="http://qz.com/694196/this-isnt-just-about-the-money-the-us-senate-is-backing-equal-pay-for-women-soccer-players/" target="_blank">The resolution</a>&nbsp;isn&#39;t binding, but it does put even more pressure on professional athletic organizations to increase compensation for women athletes.&nbsp;</p><p>The measure is aimed specifically at the U.S. Soccer Federation.
