Creighton Volleyball earns seven AVCA Awards

Four Creighton Volleyball players were named First Team All-East Region, one Honorable-mention, and Head Coach Kristen Bernthal Booth was named East Region Coach of the Year. 

Creighton's Lydia Dimke, Taryn Kloth, Marysa Wilkinson and Jaali Winter were named First Team All-East Region, while Brittany Witt was named Honorable-Mention All-East Region. 

BIG EAST Player of Year, Dimke earned her first All-Region recognition. Dimke leads the Bluejays with 11.39 assists per set and leads all BIG EAST setters with 2.71 digs per set. She has also set Creighton to a .276 attack percentage as a team. 

Kloth also earned her first All-Region recognition after earning First Team All-BIG EAST honors. She averages 3.22 kills per set on .285 hitting. Kloth ranks in the top-10 of the league in both kills per set and points per set.

Wilkinson made the squad for the first time in her career. She was Second Team All-BIG EAST choice and is second on the team in both blocks per set and hitting percentage. 

Winters picked up her second All-Region honoree, she was First Team honoree and East Region Freshman of the Year in 2015. Winters was named First Team All-BIG EAST and BIG EAST Tournament MVP. 

Witt is an Honorable-Mention selection to the All-East Region, in addition to being named East Region Freshman of the Year. She leads all BIG EAST freshman in digs and digs per set. 

Creighton travels to Austin, Texas this weekend to play in the program's second consecutive Sweet 16. The Bluejays will take on Michigan on Friday, December 9th at 5:30 p.m.
