The No. 2 seeded Creighton women's basketball team took down No. 10 seeded Butler 64-55 to head to the semifinals of the BIG EAST tournament. The Jays improved to 23-6 overall this season with the win.
Creighton struggled early and trailed by nine in the first quarter, but the offense generated by sophomore Audrey Faber and freshman Jaylyn Agnew sparked a comeback.
Faber led the team in scoring with 17 points, trailed closely behind by Agnew who scored 16. Lauren Works was the only other Bluejay to crack double-digit scoring with 10 points.
Up next, Creighton will face off against the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between No. 3 Marquette and No. 6 Georgetown Monday at 3 p.m. in the semifinals of the BIG EAST tournament.
