Nebraska came away with a big 8-4 win over No. 24 Maryland Sunday to win the three-game weekend series at Haymarket Park. The Huskers improve to 19-11-1 overall on the season and 4-1-1 in Big Ten play after the win over the Terrapins.
Ben Miller led the way for the Huskers at the plate with his second-straight four-hit game. Miller became the 25th Nebraska baseball player to join the 200 hit club Sunday. Miller went 10-13, two doubles, four runs scored and three RBIs while improving his batting average to .279 over the weekend.
Junior pitcher Jake Meyers notched another impressive performance against the Terrapins Sunday, grabbing his fifth win of the season. Meyers allowed just three runs on seven hits with one walk while striking out four in 7.1 innings.
Up next for the Huskers is a non-conference road game against Kansas State Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
