The Nebraska baseball team used a pair of huge home runs to beat Indiana Friday night in its Big Ten opener, 7-3, in Bloomington.
Ben Miller's bomb in the top of the 4th, which landed past a 408 ft. sign, tied the game at one. Then with the Huskers clinging to a one run lead in the 8th, Luis Alvarado hit a three-run shot that put the game away for Nebraska.
Jake Hohensee threw a career-high 7.1 innings and tied a career high five strikeouts. The Lincoln East alum didn't allow a walk all night.
