Nebraska baseball took down No. 24 Maryland Friday night behind an impressive performance on the mound from junior pitcher Jake Hohensee.
Hohensee sat down a career-high eight batters and allowed just one run on three hits in a career-high 8.1 innings pitched. Hohensee has now won four-straight games and improved to 4-2 on the season.
Jesse Wilkening came up with the key play for the Huskers offensively with an RBI double that scored two. That RBI turned into the eventual game-winner.
The Huskers improved to 18-10-1 on the season and 3-0-1 in Big Ten play. Nebraska will face off against Maryland again tomorrow 2:05 at Haymarket Park.
