With two outs in the bottom of the ninth and the game-winning run on second, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's Nick Meyer hit a walk-off single to give the Mustangs a 3-2 win over the Huskers. The loss evened the four game series at a game apiece. Nebraska falls to 10-10 overall this season.
The game was tied at 2-2 after the third inning and neither team plated a run until the Mustangs walk-off winner. Nebraska's first six batters in the lineup Friday afternoon each tallied a hit, while the bottom three went a combined 1-for-10.
The two teams return to the diamond tomorrow for a Saturday doubleheader to finish the series. Game one is set to start at 3 p.m. (CT).
