The Nebraska baseball team is now one win away from its first regular season conference title in 12 years after a 3-1 victory at Penn State on Friday night.
Jake Schleppenbach drove in two runs while Luis Alvardo scored all three runs for NU including a solo home run in the top of the 9th to extend the lead to 3-1.
Alvardo also earned the save going 1.1 innings. Derek Burkamper threw five scoreless innings to improve to 6-4 on the season.
The Huskers (33-18-1, 15-7-1 Big Ten) can clinch the league title with a win over the Nittany Lions at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
