Jake Meyers had a very memorable season for Nebraska baseball. Besides leading the Huskers to NU's first conference regular season title since 2005, Meyers raked in numerous individual accolades as well.
The former Westside Warrior was named to the first team All-Big Ten and was named a third team All-American as a utility player by both Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
And then on the final day of the MLB Draft, Meyers was selected in the 13th round by the Houston Astros. The two-way star at Nebraska, Meyers was taken by the Astros as an outfielder with the 16th pick in the 13th round.
