It's the beginning of a new era for the UNO baseball program. Last year, Omaha parted ways with Bob Herold, who had been the head coach for 17 seasons.
The Mavericks' new head coach, Evan Porter, is a former UNO player & assistant under Herold.
Omaha opens the season Friday February 17 at UNLV.
