Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong said on Tuesday he is confident he will play against Iowa on Black Friday. The senior quarterback is battling a hamstring injury suffered in the Minnesota game.
Armstrong did participate in Tuesday's workout at the Hawks Championship Center. Fellow QB Ryker Fyfe also practiced with his left hand wrapped after breaking a bone in his non-throwing wrist against Maryland.
NU offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf commented on the status of the quarterbacks after Tuesday's workout.
“Everybody got a little work today and we’re kind of playing it day-by-day, so we’re hoping for the best but we’re kind of preparing for a lot of scenarios there,” Langsdorf said.
“Just with the short week and our injury situation, we’re having to kind of prepare for some different things to happen. So we’ve got it covered but we’ve had to take a little time and make sure that we’re covering all our bases with that situation we’re in.”
Friday's game against the Hawkeyes is scheduled for 2:30 PM.
