Nebraska head football coach Mike Riley addressed the media Monday afternoon ahead of the Huskers' first game against Arkansas State Friday. Riley addressed many questions surrounding the team's depth chart, freshmen that will play, etc.

One of the main questions about Nebraska's depth chart this fall has been the question of which running back will start. The depth chart indicated that Tre Bryant or Mikale Wilbon could start, but Riley said he's not ready to say which back will get the start.

He said that each I-Back is likely to play, and some will be "specific situation" backs. Riley also said that JD Spielman, Tyjon Lyndsey and Jaylin Bradley will all have a role in the return game.

Two other true freshman that could play Saturday, or at some point this season are nose tackles Deontre Thomas and Damion Daniels. Riley said that he believes both will make an impact at the nose guard position, which is important in the 3-4 defense.

Riley also said that he will announce the official Blackshirts in a couple of hours, so stay tuned with OmahaSportsInsider.com for updates.
