Nebraska football has had its fair share of problems to start the season, and the injury bug is just one of them. Riley took some time during his weekly Monday presser to update the injury status of a few of the starters.
The Huskers offensive line has been under much scrutiny after the first three games of the season, and especially so after the loss of right tackle David Knevel.
Riley said that Knevel is "a little better than questionable", and his replacement Matt Farniok broke a bone in his wrist and will be limited Saturday.
Linebacker Marcus Newby will be out for "awhile" with a hamstring injury. Running back Tre Bryant (knee) missed Saturday's game against Northern Illinois and will be questionable to play against Rutgers.
Safety Joshua Kalu is also still questionable heading into Saturday.
