Nebraska basketball falls to Virginia Tech, places fourth in Wooden Legacy Tournament

The Nebraska basketball team took fourth place in the Wooden Legacy Tournament after falling to the Virginia Tech Hokies 66-53 in the third place game. The Huskers move to 4-2 on the season, while the Hokies improve to 5-1.

Tai Webster led all scorers with 23 points. Webster made six of his 11 shots and added eight rebounds, two assists and a block. 

The Huskers struggled to make their shots, shooting just 29.8% from the field and 19% from the three point line. Zach LeDay gave Nebraska all it could handle as he scored 19 points and added nine rebounds, four assists and two steals. 

Ed Morrow Jr. managed to snag seven rebounds, six of which were on the offensive glass. Morrow also notched 13 points.

Next up, the Huskers will head to South Carolina to face off against the Clemson Tigers (3-2) Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 8:15 p.m.
