The Nebraska men's basketball team fell to Illinois 73-57 at home Sunday. The Huskers now sit at 12-16 overall and 6-10 in Big Ten play. Nebraska is now 3-10 in its last 13 games.
The Huskers struggled offensively, shooting just 37.5% from the field and connected on just four of their 15 three pointers. Tai Webster was the only player for Nebraska in double-digit scoring with 17 points. Webster added another eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Illinois was able to connect on 13 of their 26 attempted three pointers and shot just over 48% from the field. Malcom Hill led all scorers with 19 points. Hill added four assists, three rebounds and three steals.
Up next for the Huskers is a road matchup with Minnesota March 2nd before returning home for senior day against Michigan March 5th. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. for the Huskers battle with Minnesota and will be broadcasted live on ESPN.
